2. General information about this website
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, BDSG, TDDDG).
This website is deliberately designed to collect as little data as possible: it does not embed any external services, fonts, maps, videos or advertising networks. All content is delivered exclusively from our server. No audience measurement or tracking takes place.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected when you visit the website is stored on the host’s servers.
Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in server log files:
- page or file accessed
- date and time of access
- amount of data transferred and notification of successful retrieval
- browser type and version
- operating system
- previously visited page (referrer URL)
- IP address of the requesting computer
Purpose and legal basis: Processing is carried out to deliver the website, to ensure system security and stability and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website).
Storage period: Log files are usually deleted after 7 to 30 days unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident. This data is not combined with other data sources.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with our host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contact form
If you send us a message via the contact form, we process the data you enter in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
Data processed:
- name (required)
- company or organisation (optional)
- city (required)
- email address (required)
- phone number (optional)
- topic of your enquiry (optional)
- your message
- time of submission and your IP address
Purpose: Handling and responding to your enquiry. The IP address and time stamp are also used to prevent automated abuse (spam protection).
Legal basis: Processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you give by ticking the corresponding checkbox. If your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR is an additional legal basis. For spam protection we rely on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing misuse).
Transmission: The form data is processed on our server and forwarded by email to our mailbox. It is not passed on to any other third parties.
Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – informally by email to the address above. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Storage period: We store your enquiry until it has been fully processed and no further questions are expected, but no longer than until you withdraw your consent. Statutory retention periods – in particular commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years – remain unaffected.
Note: You are not obliged to use the form. You can also reach us by phone or email.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, your details, including the contact details you provide, will be stored by us for the purpose of handling your request and in case of follow-up questions.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries effectively (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
Please note that unencrypted emails may be read by third parties in transit. For confidential documents, we are happy to agree on a secure means of transmission with you.
6. Cookies and analytics tools
This website does not set any cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes. No usage profiles are created and no data is transmitted to advertising networks, social networks or statistics services.
As no technologies requiring consent within the meaning of Section 25 TDDDG are used, this website does not need a cookie banner.
For spam protection, the contact form temporarily stores a time stamp and a non-reversible checksum of your IP address on the server. This technical data becomes invalid after one hour at the latest and is deleted automatically.
7. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Recipients of your data are:
- our hosting provider as processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR
- our email provider for delivering form messages
- authorities, where we are legally obliged to provide information
Our hosting provider’s servers are located in Switzerland. The European Commission has decided that Switzerland ensures an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR). No transfers to other third countries take place. Your data is not sold and is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.
8. Storage period
We process and store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Once the purpose no longer applies or a retention period expires, the data is routinely deleted or its processing restricted.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability in a machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
An informal message to info@dr-reifferscheid-akademie.de is sufficient to exercise these rights.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz
Hintere Bleiche 34
55116 Mainz, Germany
www.datenschutz.rlp.de
10. Right to object
If your data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
11. Data security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser starting with https:// and showing a lock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
We also take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. Our measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this privacy policy as soon as changes to our data processing or to the legal situation make this necessary. The current version available on this page applies to each new visit.
